Amit is originally from A small town called Loughborough in the middle of England, UK. He struggled with day to day life and had big dreams of roaming the world but no idea how - Against the odds with just £600 to his name he packed his bags in 2010 and never looked back - Nowadays he can be found roaming around the world, the dream became a reality and in-turn everyday life.
If you ask anybody who knows him, becoming an author would be the last thing anybody would have expected. Then again if you asked them in 2010 if he would go on to become a nomad drifting around the world they would have said no too.
That’s the type of person he is; spontaneous and capable of doing anything he sets his mind to.
Many writers dream about becoming an author, some from childhood, others through formal writing qualifications. For Amit that wasn’t the case.
Like many others, traveling turned him into a storyteller and full of experience. With the wealth of knowledge gained over the years Amit has been sharing stories and passing on knowledge to countless first time travelers over the years. The information exchanged both in person and through this website: Forever Roaming the World, has helped many turn from naïve newbies to experienced long term travelers themselves.
He has now turned his sights to writing books to help more people achieve their dreams.
His aim is to reach those just like him, those who crave escapism from the rigors of daily life but do not know how. His writing is for those who daydream to wander the world but are constantly told of their limitations. He wants to show how It’s possible but shows both sides of the traveling coin – the good and the bad.
Amit may not come from a traditional writing background, what he lacks in qualifications he makes up in experience and know he has a unique standing and voice within the long term travel world. His writing can be controversial as he takes his readers behind the facade and over-gamorization as well on unpredictable journeys.
Fear comes from a lack of understanding of not knowing what is on the other side; the unknown. It’s the biggest factor in stopping people from turning daydreams and fantasies of long term solo traveling into reality.
This book is here to help combat those fears, to help you gain an understanding of the unknown. You, Yourself & the world answers 100+ fears, concerns, thoughts and questions about long term solo travel so you can make a better judgement weather to go through with it or not. No stone is left unturned from when long term solo travel is just a thought, the fears and concerns you have pre travel, to dealing with life on the road once you’re immersed in travel. All questions contain both short and long comprehensive answers.
The book’s inception came to be through a couple of reasons. I had actually started writing my travel memoir while traveling through Malaysia in 2019. It reminded me of a lot fears, concerns, and questions I had before my journey started in 2010. There were so many unanswered questions which I only found out through living through it. As well as my own memories, whilst writing the memoir, many first time solo travelers I came into contact with were asking questions they didn’t have the answers to.
Many of whom were overwhelmed and felt ill prepared for long term solo travel from the information they received. It soon dawned on me, I was writing the wrong type of book and switched my focus.
There are so many things about long term solo travel that do not get talked about because It’s not pretty or of the fear it will put people off it. It’s not fair on those who take the leap only to realise they have no idea what they are doing. Or on those who have too much fear from a lack of understanding.
That is why this book was written – To help you gain an understanding of long term solo travel. To help ease fears or concerns and to answer questions which don’t like to get answered so you are better equipped and prepared for long term solo travel life whenever you wish to travel in the future.
The choice is yours now, you can either get a ‘taster’ and read the first two sections of the book for FREE or you can go ahead a signup for the full version which you will receive directly to your kindle on the 25th January once the book is launched. Bursting misconceptions, showing you what they are really like, different types and giving you a inside view of them
For some, getting on with themselves even liking themselves can be the hardest thing to do, but long term solo travel gives you the opportunity to get to do just that. It may take years but slowly it can be done.
Giving you a real insight what its like to travel on the tightest of budgets. Not everybody can cope, you will need a mental toughness.
From the day my traveling life began certain things have happened at certain times for certain reasons. I never believed in spirituality nor fate or anything like that. But over the years things have led me to question it all. You make your own mind up if it was coincidence or fate.
