“YOU LEARN TO EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED FROM LONG-TERM BUDGET BACKPACKING” – Forever Roaming the World

ABOUT FOREVER ROAMING THE WORLD: LONG TERM BUDGET BACKPACKING IS LIFE CHANGING BUT WILL MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY TEST YOU

Without a doupt, starting and continuing a nomadic life will change your life in more ways than you can imagine. It changes your perspective on life, what’s important and not, how you percieve other people and cultures and it will change your own charactor. You will experience the most incredible experiences, have defying moments, meet inspiring people be left in awe to what this earth we live on provides us. But, It’s not for everybody.

Hand in hand with the highs and incredible moments come the lows and hardships. Over the years I’ve come across first time backpackers who set out on long-term travel but are completely oblivious to what they’re getting themselves into. In some cases It’s not their fault, they were just shown the shiny glamerous side of travel, but nothing under the veil.

That’s where Forever Roaming the World comes in, I will show, aid, and help you with all that comes with Long-term budget travel: The good, the bad, the ugly and everything in between. This website is no-holds barred, unfiltered, and will not be to everybody’s liking. Sometimes the truth hurts!

Forever Roaming the world is here to…

Give a more accurate view on what long-term budget backpacking life is really like; It’s not always adventure after adventure.

Show and help anybody with the desire to travel long-term they can; even if you think you can’t afford it. Trust me, if somebody as poor as me can roam around the world for so long; then so can you – If you can take the rough with the smooth.

Pass on extensive knowledge and experiences gained over the years in dealing with situations that occur and when things go wrong.

If you’re anything like me and you struggle with what society deems as ‘normal’ or if you live your life against the grain, you hate to be shackled, you can’t live that boxed life then you’ll feel at homewith Forever Roaming the WOrld

ABOUT FOREVER ROAMING THE WORLD: WHO AM I?

I’m just a guy…a guy who struggles with normality, and wanted to break free of societies shackles to just roam free.

Everybody has a sob story, don’t worry I’ll spare you mine but In 2010 I made an impossible dream a reality. I didnt have any savings, I would say I sold everything I had, but truth is I had nothing to sell. After years of daydreaming, procastinating about it, I said ‘fuck it’ and bit the bullet.

With just £600 to my name, I packed my backpack for the first time and left England for the other side of the world and haven’t stopped since…Well that’s a lie, life isn’t that kind, there have been a number of stumbling blocks, things have gone to shit, emotional states have got the better of me, and I’ve even fell out of love with traveling before. However after taking a prolonged break back in 2017 I’m once again Long-term budget backpacking again; older and wiser this time around – Well sometimes.

THE TRAVEL MEMOIR: THE UNIVERSE HAS A PLAN: IT JUST WONT TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK IT IS!

About Forever Roaming the world: Letting the Universe take control

Forever Roaming the World’s Travel memoir will be about my last 6 months of backpacking including the spiritual growth I’ve gone through. It focuses more on how I’ve realised my journey since I started in 2010 has somehow all been interwoven and connected the universes grand plan for me. I don’t know what it is, I’m just going along for the ride and seeing where it takes me.

You’d think after 9 years of backpacking and living around the world I would have it all figured out. Being the seasoned backpacker I am, there shouldn’t be any surprises anymore. After all my motto is expect the unexpected – No its not, my motto is ‘Just one more beer’, or is it ‘the universe will provide’? Ok I have a lot of mottos but, no, even after all these years nothing goes the way it should.

  1. Hi Amit, my effort is entitled ‘Chartered Territory – An Engineer Abroad’. I decided to give it a very slight work slant (not that anybody would notice) to make it a bit different to the usual books on travel. So as well as some travel tales there’s also a few chapters which detail my experiences with a military coup in Nigeria, also in Hong Kong: dragon boating, the handover and, quite topical nowadays, the SARS outbreak. There’s a FB page designed to cover it (https://www.facebook.com/Chartered-Territory-An-Engineer-Abroad-451743001585683/ ) though I have since added some general articles to it.

  2. Hi Amit, welcome back, glad to see your posts again – like the look of the website too, clear and concise. Sorry to hear that you may have become disillusioned with the travel blogging scene, I can understand that and consequently have shied away from having my own outright but I do contribute to others occasionally. Hope the memoir book project goes well, I know how draining that can be having done it myself – well worth the effort though !

    • Thanks for your warm comments Ben. Yeah, it was a shamed how I felt before, I guess it’s like in everything you have to learn about the politics that go on behind the scenes, but thankfull, my want for writing hs given me and the website a new lease of life and feel quite refreshed now,so a lot of new posts are on the way. What’s the name of your memoir, I’d like to check it out.
