East coast Australia: A backpackers GalleryEast coast Australia: A backpackers Gallery - Forever Roaming the world brings to you a visual snapshot of backpacking Australia's east coast - Heading down under soon?....

You never forget your first!

You know they say you’ll never forget the first time…the first time you fall in love – Well the land down under was my first, it was where it all began for me back in 2010.

Ever since I can remember I had always dreamt of traveling to Australia, and when I decided on a life of travel there was no place else I could start my journey but the other side of the world.

This gallery follows on from Forever Roaming the Worlds Backpacking Australia guide/overview to give you more of a visual snapshot. Now do bear in mind, this was my first traveling trip and I wasn’t a blogger back then, so the pictures are that of a first-time backpacker.

Sydney became home.

Home to the iconic opera house and Harbour bridge, Sydney wasn’t just my base over the years, it became home. I’ll be honest like many first time backpackers I was pretty naive to what backpacking life would be like. And, like many backpackers, my time in Sydney contained more parties and drunken nights than sight-seeing. ( Don’t worry there are no embarrassing party pictures included in this gallery.)

East coast Australia: A backpackers Gallery

The east coast is Australia’s most heavily traveled coast, it’s the most populated and home to so many incredible wonders. The well-trodden path may be full of travelers but it will still amaze you. The east coast is where you’ll find the Great Barrier reef, The Daintree rain-forest, Fraser Island, the Whitsundays, Cities, amazing beaches, all kinds of exotic wildlife and much more.

My backpacking Australia: east coast gallery is by no means a professional gallery, it’s a collection of pictures I took as a novice traveler. If you’re looking to backpacking through Australia, this collection of pictures will hopefully give you some visual inspiration.
