1. Plans? Sure they work!
It was simple, experience the greatest moment of his life in this new reality, then stick to the iron clad plan he arrived with, nothing could deter him from it. There was however one little problem for newbie British backpacker Amit – life! It was never simple.
2. Me, Myself & I
A new vibrant city, the perfect laid back atmosphere, just what Amit needed, finally solo traveling and it felt liberating. But a heavy weight grew bigger by the day, insecurities came out to play and he found out how uncultured he really was.
3. Clenched skin & teeth
Adventures could turn into misadventures with the flip of a coin for Amit, even with a new found purpose & a promise that couldn’t be broken. A year & a half into this reality he felt experienced and ready for the latest adventure, but life hadn’t stopped messing with him. Some harrowing news shook Amit to the core, not to mention being trapped with a Kamikaze pilot.
4. Thor’s ragdoll & nemo
There are not many times Amit has felt emasculated but with the God of thunder treating him as personal ragdoll, it was definitely one of those moments! Although the greatest natural high of his life ensued it was a few days later when his biggest fear would need to be confronted while trying keep the harrowing news from taking over his mind.
5. Nah, we're not lost!
The unbreakable promise was broken, an impromptu decision was made, a new country, a new beginning, home was a campervan and getting lost was the game. Amit & his traveling friend wondered into what seemed like an opening scene of a horror movie where he experienced both the most surreal & unexplainable freakish moment of his life.
6. Blood, sweat & Mordor
Long-term traveling life was a dual internal & external journey, adventures & misadventures flipped on a coin and this adventure pushed Amit to the limit. Blood, sweat & tears were spilt on this incredible day of discovery while trying to face and dodge both mental & physical obstacles.
7. Peasant in Neverland
Living in a picturesque fairy-tale town surrounded by snow-capped mountains also known to backpackers as neverland came at a cost. Being broke all the time – It was nothing new to Amit but the latest precarious situation was. A choice was needed; the responsible one or the stupid one. He and his Canadian friend chose the latter for adventure & laughs while sticking a middle finger up to life. What could possibly go wrong!
8. Tuk-Tuks & scams
Amit landed in another country & continent reunited with a familiar face, both felt experienced having traveled for three years. But life and the new alien chaotic culture smacked them in the face to make them realise they were novices once more. Amit was not prepared for this crazy first day, nor for the Tuk-Tuk driver!
9. Paradise hurts
Stress & frustrations were nearly visible as they left Amit, this is what he had expected when arriving in this country a month ago. The tropical Island washed through a serenity he hadn’t felt in a while but just as he let his guard down of course life had a surprise for him. This time in the form of a primate cousin.
10. In the jungle, the...
Amit had realised a childhood dream in the jungle, scaled death defying rope bridges, chased waterfalls, and rode bamboo rafts through a mirky river on this adventure. But life was ready with punches too, an opium addicted Tuk-Tuk driver was just one of them.

11. Jurassic bliss
Amit had fallen in love, with this new raw and rugged non touristy country, the people, the pace of life and just how Jurassic it felt. Even more so, this country had a forefield against life messing with him. It was a day that epitomised his time here, learning, discovering, and full of revelations. It was just as his traveling hero had said it would be.
12. Nope, never again
It didn’t matter how experienced Amit had become in this region, without the forcefield of the previous country life was attacking from all angles. It loved to mess with him for it’s own entertainment. Today was no different. But Amit had started to learn you never know what’s around the corner or who.
Amit had stopped seeing himself as a backpacker, he was well adversed into the local culture, doing as the locals do, seeing life from their perspective and not as a foreign traveler. He could spot scammers & they could see him. However a day of exploring a famous sight posed more questions & answers. Maybe the conspiracy theories were more fact than fiction.
14. Ghetto snobbing
It was like looking in the mirror when old friends arrived to spend Christmas & New years eve with Amit. This would be his 5th away from England. Life had taken Amit in a new direction and for the first time in his life, he was flush with cash ‘ghetto snobbing’ as he puts it and was keen to show off to his friends and show he had conquered his biggest fear much to their surprise.
15. Backpacker to Nomad
It was time to leave the ghetto snob life behind and return to being a backpacker. But he wasn’t anymore, he had traveled and been away from England for so long he was evolving into a nomad. No fixed address, no grand plan, just drifting from country to country as and when the winds changed. But first he needed to get off the beach and stop drinking mojitos or risk missing his flight to a new continent. It’s not like f life would let that happen!
